Anne Marie Witte and her three siblings (Katherina Luise Ilsabein, Anna, Heinrich) were born in Spradow, that now belongs to the town of Bünde. Her mother Marie Luise Wilhelmine Nettingsmeier (1858 -
1909) and most of the ancestors of her mother came from Westscheid and Grimminghausen ( Menninghüffen ), which belongs to the town of Löhne now. The Netgensmeier-branch of her pedigree leads back to the middle of
the 16th century. Her father Karl Heinrich Witte (1860 - 1919) was born in Randringhausen located close to Bünde.

Georg Wilhelm Kröger ( 1887 - 1943)

He was the son of Kaspar Heinrich Kröger (1858 - 1919) and Anna Marie Wippermann (1857 - 1932). His siblings were Minna, Karl, Peter, Marie ans Anna. Georg Wilhelm was born in Hunnebrock (now: Bünde).

His grandparents were Cord Heinrich Kröger (born in 1811; son of Heinrich Wilhelm Kröger and Anne Marie Lefhalms) and Anne Catharina Hippe (born 1819; daughter of Jürgen Heinrich Carels and Anne Marie
Hippe). His maternal grandparents were Johann Friedrich Wippermann (born 1813; son of Adolf Heinrich Wippermann and Anna Ilsabein Bäcker) and Anne Margaretha Schlüter (born 1817 in Spenge; daughter of Johann
Wilhelm Schlüter and A.M. Ilsabein Blomeier.

In 1939 Caspar Heinrich Kröger, an uncle of Kaspar Heinrich, left Prussia. He emigrated to the USA without permission.

The picture shows Georg Wilhelm Kröger and his first wife Katherina Luise Ilsabein Witte with their daughter Martha. Luise and Martha died at the beginning of 1919 because of
tuberculosis. Luise was 31 years old, the age of her daughter was 5 years only. Anne Marie the sister of Luise took care of them, while Georg Wilhelm served in the army during WW I.

In April 1919 Anne Marie Witte and her former brother-in-law married.
|
|
|
|
They had 9 children, the picture (~1942) shows them sitting behind their house with their youngest son.
Georg Wilhelm worked as a bricklayer. When his oldest child was 23 and the youngest was 3, he died in 1943, because he was suffering from heart trouble.
